The best laid plans of mice and moms, eh? So much for my plan to at the very least post some links every week! I spend quite a bit of time (usually of an evening!) trawling the web for great content. Here are some of the most arresting items I have found in the last week. Many of these I share via the IIA’s Twitter account where I work so if you want them as I find them, follow the IIA on Twitter. Some of these I also share in my upcoming article for Beo. In no particular order:
- How Women Connect, Catch Up and Find Comfort with Online Video | Nielsen Wire
- SpoiltChild have developed a Marketing ROI Calculator. As with so much from SpoiltChild it looks good enough to eat and it’s super-useful too.
- Irish Online Retailers Christmas list brought to you by Damien Mulley. A database of Irish retailers to help those who wish to spend their euros & cents in Ireland this festive season.
- Speaking of presents (we were, weren’t we?) GiftGenies have launched an iPhone app, “Ask the Gift Genies” which was included in iTunes New & Noteworthy this week. Ooh la la!
- If you’re looking for kids’ presents I love Mimitoys whose site also includes stocking fillers. I never have to go into town again!
- You might also find a super cool present or two at A Year of Tees.
This is my favourite.
- Bernie Goldbach recommends using Snap Bird for deep searches inside Twitter’s history. http://snapbird.org/
- Krishna De shares an online visibility video tip – How to check the availability of your name on the social web with www.UD.com
- The CMO’s Guide To The Social Media Landscape a great chart to help you decide which social media best suits your marketing strategy (hat tip to PeopleLovePresents again.)
- 10 Mobile Payment Innovations – Are We There Yet? by Brendan Hughes.
- Lauren Fisher curated #commschat this week which focused on corporate blogs. A curated conversation on Twitter is an interesting format for sharing ideas, experiences and content. Check out the transcript of the conversation here.
- Comscore reports that More Than 100 Million Mobile Consumers in EU5 Received SMS Advertising
- I could not get this out of my head last weekend. No flippin thanks to Darren Byrne.
